This poker game has now become the biggest played game in the world and certainly the biggest played game on the internet. However, very few artists have sung a song about it. Easy Jesus Coe finally changed that.
Surprisingly not that many people know who he is. He is from Fort Worth, Texas and is the nephew of outlaw country singer David Allen Coe.
Easy Jesus Coe is the lead singer/guitarist of the up and coming three man band Pimpadelic. The band plays a variety of genres including country, rap and rock.
The band includes bass guitarist Bryan Mack (also from Ft. Worth, Texas) and drummer CC Devil.
The song Texas Hold Em Up is in honour of the massive game. The game is believed to have started in the state of Texas, hence the name. I am surprised it has taken a while for someone to write a song about poker.
What is surprising and shocking is the song is not popular. Very few people have heard of it and the album. It is a surprise as millions of people play the game, I thought they would appreciate a song about it.
Some people who have listened to the song told me it made them appreciate the game even more. I know it did for me.
